Happy Tuesday! 🤗

I was thinking about what would be most helpful to share this week—and with so many families hitting the road (or the skies) for Thanksgiving, a few doable travel tips felt just right.

Whether you’re flying, driving, or sleeping somewhere different, these quick reminders can help make the next week a little smoother—and maybe even more enjoyable.

1. Flights: handle delays like a pro

  • Download the airline app for delay + gate updates.
  • Pack a “delay kit”: snacks, meds, chargers, wipes, water bottles, and one small activity per kid.
  • If a delay threatens your connection, get in line at the desk and start a chat in the app.

Mindset: Expect one thing to go wrong, and be pleasantly surprised when it doesn’t.

2. Road trips: think in 2–3 hour blocks

  • Plan one decent stop every few hours.
  • Keep a small front-seat basket with wipes, tissues, chargers, and snacks.
  • Decide ahead of time what’s worth pulling over for.

3. Packing: make it easy on yourself

  • Give each kid their own backpack for travel-day essentials.
  • Use packing cubes by person so you’re not digging.
  • Pack a family “arrival cube” with pajamas + day-one outfits on top.

4. Sleeping somewhere new: keep it familiar

Bring a sound machine, a favorite blanket/pillow, and a nightlight.

Talk through who’s sleeping where before you arrive.

5. Budget: set your “yes moments”

Pick 1–2 things you’re okay splurging on, and then let go of the guilt.

A quick mindset shift for the week

Your trip doesn’t need to be perfect. It just needs to be doable. 💛
