Hi friend,
Happy New Year! I can’t believe it’s already 2026. 🎉

Now that the kids are finally back in school, I’m easing back into my routine—and of course, that means my mind is already spinning with ideas for the year ahead.

There’s something about a fresh calendar that makes me want to start dreaming about where we might go next. ✈️

If choosing a travel destination sends you straight into a spiral of tabs, screenshots, and second-guessing… you’re not alone.

That’s why I’m starting a new Stop the Overwhelm Travel Tuesday series.

Each week, I’ll share one small, practical way to make travel planning feel lighter and more fun. This is Part 1. 😊

Here’s the simple rule I use to stop the overwhelm:

Limit yourself to three destination options.
Not ten. Not twenty. Just three.

You might have a bucket list full of 100 places you want to take your kids someday, and that’s great.
But for this trip you’re planning right now — whether it’s spring break, a long weekend, or summer — only choose three.

Then narrow it down based on:

  • the time you realistically have
  • your family’s energy level this season
  • the budget you’re comfortable with

That’s it.

More options don’t make trips better.
They usually just make decisions harder.

And here’s the mindset shift that changed everything for me:
A good trip isn’t about choosing the “best” destination. It’s about choosing one that fits your family right now. 💛

✨If you want help narrowing things down, here’s my list of 26 Doable Places to Take Your Kids in 2026. It’s meant to inspire you without overwhelming you.

And if you want a few tried-and-true favorites, these three always feel like a win for families:
Gatlinburg
Niagara Falls
San Diego

Stay tuned for more packing tips, behind-the-scenes travel hacks, and inspiration to make your trips feel doable and fun. I’m all about helping you make family travel as smooth as possible, so you can create memories without the headache.

Thanks for being part of the Travel Tuesday community, and I can’t wait to connect again soon!💕

✨ Want to make planning even easier?
