Happy Tuesday AND Happy October! 👋

Every fall, I start dreaming about all the places I’d love to visit when the leaves change. A cozy mountain town, a scenic drive, somewhere we could spend a few days soaking up the fall colors.

Then I look at our sports calendar. 😂

Fall trips are hard for us to make happen right now, but that doesn’t stop me from adding places to my wish list!

If you asked me my favorite time of year to vacation, my first answer would probably be “anytime.” But there are a few times I always try to work a getaway into our year.

Winter: I love having a trip to look forward to during those long, cold months. It doesn’t always have to be somewhere warm. Sometimes a change of scenery is enough! If you’re thinking about a winter getaway too, here are a few of my favorite family winter vacation spots.

Spring break: By then, we’re usually ready for a break from our everyday routine. With the kids out of school, it’s a chance to spend some time together and explore somewhere.

Summer: I love having room for a longer road trip, a few more stops, and days when we aren’t trying to squeeze everything into a short school break.

And then there’s another kind of getaway I have a soft spot for: a little Christmas trip.

Holiday lights, Christmas events, and somewhere festive to wander around together. We’ve enjoyed visits to Branson, Kansas City and Omaha, and Branson at Christmas is one of those trips that really gets you into the holiday spirit!

Gatlinburg during the holidays is high on my wish list, too. I would love to see those Smoky Mountains all dressed up for Christmas!

As much as I dream about traveling in every season, the trips we actually take tend to fit around school, sports, and whatever works for our family that year. I’m guessing you can relate.

When is your favorite time of year to travel? Hit reply and tell me! And if there’s a season you wish you could travel more, I’d love to hear that too.

Stay tuned for more packing tips, behind-the-scenes travel hacks, and inspiration to make your trips feel doable and fun. I’m all about helping you make family travel as smooth as possible, so you can create memories without the headache.

Because I love having the details figured out before we go, so we can spend more time enjoying wherever the season takes us.

May you LOVE your adventure!
