Happy Tuesday! 🤗

After 11 years of traveling with four boys, there’s one thing I know for sure: a messy hotel room = a stressed-out mom. 😩

Hotel rooms (even suites) are small—especially with six people. So the minute we walk in, I go into setup mode. Ten minutes of organizing makes the rest of our stay so much smoother (and honestly keeps me from losing my mind).

My 10-Minute Hotel Room Setup 👇

1️⃣ Find a home for the suitcases.
Lay them along a wall or by the closet—out of the way. Keep packing cubes inside as “drawers,” or move them into the dresser.

2️⃣ Create a snack station.
Kitchen? Snacks live there. Otherwise, use the mini-fridge/wet bar area or a desk. When kids eat, lay down a towel to catch crumbs.

3️⃣ Set up a charging station.
Every iPad, phone, and device goes here. Use a multi-port block and label cords so we know what’s what.

4️⃣ Line up the shoes.
By the door—always. Clear floors = faster exit.

5️⃣ Assign a backpack zone.
All backpacks in one spot (under the desk or along a wall). Extra “stuff” goes back in the backpack when it’s not being used.

6️⃣ Toiletry Station (under the sink if possible).
Toothbrushes, toothpaste, hair items, and meds stay in their toiletry/makeup/medicine bags under the sink—no cluttered counters.

7️⃣ Laundry plan.
Hang lightweight laundry bags in the closet or set them near the suitcases for dirty clothes.

8️⃣ Add a catch-all tray.
Keys, wallets, AirPods, room cards—one spot so nothing disappears.

9️⃣ Do a 2-minute nightly reset.
Before bed, line up shoes, clear surfaces, and toss trash. Morning magic.

🔟 Request extras early.
If needed, call for extra towels and trash bags right after check-in—six people go through them fast.

For our entire stay, everything goes back to its spot. It keeps the room calm—and packing to leave is so much less stressful!

Stay tuned for more packing tips, behind-the-scenes travel hacks, and inspiration to make your trips stress-free and fun. I’m all about helping you make family travel as smooth as possible, so you can create memories without the headache.
