Hi Reader! Over the past few weeks, we’ve been discussing how to choose the perfect family accommodation. First we talked about prioritizing what matters most to your family, then weighed the pros and cons of hotels/resorts versus vacation rentals, and last week, I shared some of my favorite family-friendly hotel chains. Now, I’m excited to reveal some of our all-time favorite hotels that have made our family travels extra special! 🙌 Not going to lie—I’m fairly picky when it comes to hotels. I always read reviews before booking, and if a place isn’t rated well, I won’t stay there. These hotels are some of my absolute favorites, and I’ve even stayed at some of them more than once! Marriott Desert Springs – Palm Desert, CaliforniaIf you’re heading to the Palm Springs area, this resort is a dream. The suites are spacious with a full kitchen (huge plus for families!), the pools are incredible, and having a restaurant on-site makes lunch at the pool so easy. My kids also loved the Activity Center with games and a small movie theater—it’s a great place to unwind after a day of fun. Homewood Suites at Liberty Station – San Diego, CaliforniaWe have stayed at this hotel multiple times and always love it! The complimentary breakfast is a lifesaver with kids, and it’s in a beautiful, walkable area with tons of restaurants nearby. If you’re exploring San Diego as a family, this is a fantastic place to stay. Embassy Suites Old Market – Omaha, NebraskaOmaha’s Old Market is such a fun area, and this hotel makes it even better. The cooked-to-order breakfast is the perfect start to the day, and we love how walkable it is to shops, restaurants, and Omaha’s amazing riverfront parks. We usually stay here a couple of times a year—in the summertime when we can enjoy the gorgeous weather at the parks and again during the Christmas season to see all the beautiful holiday lights in the Old Market area. Mission Point Resort – Mackinac Island, MichiganIf you’re planning a trip to Mackinac Island, this resort is a must. The location on the eastern side of the island offers stunning views, and the Great Lawn is perfect for relaxing or playing with the kids. Plus, with several on-site restaurants, dining is a breeze! Fairfield Inn and Suites – Kearney, NebraskaFor road trippers traveling along I-80, this is one of the best stops! The hotel is clean, well-run, and beautifully maintained—a perfect place to recharge before hitting the road again. We’ve stayed at so many places over the years, but these hotels truly stood out for their comfort, convenience, and family-friendly amenities. I hope this list helps as you plan your next trip! I know I am always looking for hotel recommendations! What’s the best hotel you’ve ever stayed at with your family? Reply and let me know—I’d love to add more great spots to our list! May you LOVE your adventure! |
