Hi Reader!

I hope your week is going great! ☀️

The past couple of weeks, we’ve been talking about how to choose the perfect family-friendly accommodations. First, we covered prioritizing what matters most—space, location, kitchen, pool, etc. Then, we broke down the pros and cons of hotels vs. vacation rentals.

This week, I want to share some of our favorite hotel chains for a big family! As a family of six, we need more space than a standard hotel room offers, and over the years, we’ve found a few hotel brands that work really well for us.

Our Go-To Hotel Chains for a Large Family

Residence Inn – One- and two-bedroom suites with a separate living area (and a pull-out couch!). We love having extra space, and the full kitchenette makes preparing snacks and cooling drinks easier. Plus, free breakfast!

Homewood Suites – Very similar to Residence Inn, with full kitchenettes and spacious suites. They even offer an evening social with snacks on some nights!

Embassy Suites – All-suite rooms with separate sleeping areas and one of the best free breakfasts out there. My kids are always excited for the made-to-order omelet station!

Drury Hotels – Some locations have suites that work for families, plus free breakfast AND an evening “Kickback” with snacks and drinks. (It’s saved us from buying dinner more than once!)

We usually try to book a two-bedroom suite when we can (hello, second bathroom!), but we can make a one-bedroom suite work since it has a separate living space with a pull-out couch.

🌟 Residence Inn and Homewood Suites offer two-bedroom suites which is a huge plus for us!

If you’re looking for family-friendly hotels that make traveling with kids easier, these are great options!

➡️ I usually start with a hotel or resort, and if I can't find one that's well-priced, in a good location, and has great reviews, I’ll move on to searching for a vacation rental. 🛏

What’s Next?

Next week, to wrap up our Family-Friendly Accommodations series, I’m going to share some of our favorite hotels and vacation rentals we’ve stayed in!

May you LOVE your adventure!
