Planning a family trip can be exciting, but finding the right place to stay? That can feel overwhelming!

With so many options out there, it’s hard to know what’s worth your money and what will truly make your trip enjoyable (and not stressful).

In the next few Travel Tuesday emails, I am going to share a few quick tips I’ve learned over the years to make this decision easier for you.

My First Tip: Prioritize What Matters Most for Your Family

Every family is different, so think about what will make your trip easier and more fun:

➡️ Do you need extra space? A suite or vacation rental can be a lifesaver for families with kids.

➡️ Would having a kitchen simplify meals and save money? If so, look for accommodations with a kitchenette.

➡️ Is location key? Being close to attractions can cut down on travel time and keep everyone happier.

➡️ Is it a must to have a pool? For many families, and depending on the trip for us, we need to have a pool where we stay so the boys can swim.

For us, having space for our boys to unwind after a busy day is a must. We often look for places with separate sleeping and living areas. Typically, I do go the hotel/resort route first and see what is available.

We must have a place for 5 people to sleep—our youngest is still in the pack-n-play. 🛏

With six total people in a room, having a separate living space is a must-have as well! If we can add a second bathroom and kitchenette—we are golden! ⭐️
