Happy Tuesday!

With the official end of summer behind us, it's definitely time to start thinking FALL. 🍁

Not going to lie—fall is my absolute favorite time of year. Sweatshirts, coffee, pumpkins, colorful leaves… it is so dreamy! ☕️🎃🍂

Every September, I start daydreaming about all the places I’d love to visit—the Smoky Mountains in peak color, charming New England towns, or even a cozy weekend in Vail.

But honestly, there are so many local adventures too.

The question is always: how do we fit it all in when fall is already such a busy season?

That’s why I created a simple Fall Family Bucket List—to give you doable ideas you can squeeze into your schedule while still making those worth-it family memories.

🍂 Fall Family Bucket List

🍎 Visit an apple orchard
Every fall we head to Center Grove Orchard here in Iowa—it’s become one of our favorite traditions. Between apple picking, cider donuts, and the kids running wild in the play areas, it’s always a win. Not local? Check for an orchard near you and make a day of it.

🎃 Explore a pumpkin patch or corn maze
My boys love patches that have giant slides, corn pits, and hayrack rides. But honestly, any spot where you can pick a pumpkin and sip hot cider feels like fall magic. Pro tip: Pack an extra pair of shoes—the pumpkin patch can get muddy fast!

🍂 Take a scenic drive for fall colors
One of my dream trips is a New England road trip in peak fall. But you don’t need a big trip—local back roads, nearby state parks, or hidden trails can be just as beautiful when the leaves start to turn.

🦌 Spot wildlife on a family hike
Cooler temps make hiking with kids much more doable. We’ve spotted deer and wild turkeys! Simple hikes can become little adventures in themselves. One of our favorite hiking spots is Ledges State Park.

🏞️ Plan a cozy small-town getaway
Some of our favorite memories are from short fall road trips—like to Pella or Winterset here in Iowa. For you, it might be a nearby town that’s famous for its fall festival, farmer’s market, or homemade pies. Sometimes the best adventures are closer than you think. 💛

Bonus Fun: Fall isn’t complete without a cozy drink in hand. If you had to choose—apple cider or pumpkin spice latte—which is your pick? 🍎☕
